Indonesian Style SalmonTotal time: 20 mins
  • 1 Fillet Salmon
  • Juice Half Lemon
  • 1/2 Clove Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Tumeric Powder
  • 4 Thin slices Red onion
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Chilli Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Fish Sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons Coconut Oil
  1. Score three shallow cuts into the skin of the salmon fillet. Pour the lemon juice over the fish, rubbing the juice into the cuts.
  2. Grate the garlic and mix it with turmeric then rub them into the fish. Use gloves when doing this as the turmeric stains badly.
  3. Cover the fish and marinate for fifteen minutes at room temperature. The lemon juice will begin to cook the fish, so don’t leave it for much longer.
  4. Mix the onion slices with the other topping ingredients.
  5. Brush the skin of the fish with a little coconut oil then grill the fish skin side up for six to eight minutes.
  6. As soon as the skin is crisp remove the fish from the heat and serve it topped with the onion mixture.
